They can also be very unpredictable - and even though you cannot consider every possibility in advance, the following tips should help the beginning player to develop their own style. Knights, archers and dragons - what more could you want? In Total War: WARHAMMER II, you can command one of four races: High Elves, Dark Elves, Skaven or Lizardmen. When Total War Warhammer first came out, the High Elves, specifically Tyrion’s campaign, was the most new player friendly campaign and served as a good point of entry for the game. The Dark Elves are an ancient and sadistic race of Elves with a particular interest in claiming the Vortex for their dark and twisted agenda. Additionally, you should also try to incorporate the factions of the High Elves that are separated by sea - this will give you vantage points in the south. P.S – This list is campaign focused, making me able to rank them on overall effectiveness, instead of having to take cost-effectiveness into massive consideration (although it still determines rankings slightly).
